The corridors on the 3rd and 4th floors of the north and south blocks of Joy City in SHANGHAI connect the old and new shopping malls, which needs to be renovated due to factors such as aging facilities and low space utilization. To reflect the continuity of the commercial atmosphere of the whole north and south buildings, the design is based on the concept of "special connection" and apply a simple linear and curved connection structure in the architectural space to build an interesting, integral and multifunctional sense of space design.
With effective functional area planning, the vertical interaction between the commercial store area and the original landscape leisure area will be increased, so that the corridor will form its own commercial environment ecological circle and attract more people to stop, which has effectively improved the usage of commercial areas while enhancing the connection image of the north and south buildings.
